Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations with accuracy and attention to patient safety, using Siemens Sensation 64 and GE LightSpeed 16 scanners
• Operate and document studies in Cerner and McKesson PACS to maintain clear, timely records
• Manage patient flow and scan volume (typically 10–20 scans depending on shift) while maintaining quality imaging
• Provide compassionate care to ER and acute patients, adapting quickly to urgent situations
• Execute gated procedures and virtual colonography when requested, demonstrating technical versatility
• Serve in a leadership/charge capacity when scheduled — coordinate the unit and support team workflow
• Collaborate with radiologists and use teleradiology (Nighthawk) resources for after-hours coverage

Qualifications

• Current California radiologic technologist license (required)
• ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications (required)
• BLS (required)
• Management/Charge experience — required (this role needs proven leadership in a diagnostic imaging setting)
• Minimum ~2 years of CT/radiology experience (as indicated in job details)
• Comfort working nights and rotating weekends; ability to handle ER and acute care patients
• Familiarity with Cerner and McKesson PACS preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) imaging principles and protocols
• Operation of Siemens Sensation 64 and GE LightSpeed 16 scanners
• PACS workflow (McKesson) and Cerner charting systems
• Teleradiology processes (Nighthawk) for night coverage
• Patient positioning, radiation safety, and contrast administration basics
• Leadership/charge skills: staffing coordination, prioritization, and communication
• Ability to handle a scan volume of ~10–20 scans per shift with consistent quality
