Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry care with attention to cardiac monitoring
• Assess, document, and communicate changes in patient condition promptly and clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, interventions, and discharge planning
• Respond quickly to alarms and acute events, initiating appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and handoff communication

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of California (or compact/eligible) required
• Telemetry experience (previous telemetry/medical-surgical nursing preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Current clinical skills in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team setting
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and credentialing for per diem assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry strip interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital sign trends, and early recognition of deterioration
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
• Good time management and prioritization during 12-hour day shifts
• Collaborative approach to working with physicians, techs, and allied health staff
