Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and intervene appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records
• Prioritize patient safety and infection control practices at all times

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; Hawaii licensure preferred or ability to obtain
• BLS certification required; ACLS and other certifications a plus
• Comfortable working Med/Surg patient assignments and 12.5-hour shifts
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Reliable, professional, and a team player who communicates well
• Previous Med/Surg experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical training considered

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation
• Excellent patient assessment and triage abilities
• Ability to handle fast-paced environments and prioritize effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-focused bedside manner
