Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric and med/surg patients
Perform thorough assessments, develop nursing plans and evaluate patient progress
Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge planning
Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and hospital policies
Participate in orientation and unit training to maintain clinical competency

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or willingness to obtain if working with pediatrics
Experience or interest in med/surg and pediatric nursing
Ability to pass facility orientation and meet credentialing requirements
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in med/surg and pediatric care
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients safely
Patient and family education techniques with a caring approach
Team collaboration and clear handoff/communication practices
