Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for med/surg patients including pediatric needs
Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and communicate changes
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Document care clearly and promptly in the patient record to ensure continuity

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington or ability to obtain licensure timely
Experience or strong interest in med/surg nursing with pediatric exposure preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) a plus
Comfortable working in fast-paced clinical environments and prioritizing patient safety
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical decision making
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Pediatric care principles and family-centered communication
Care planning, documentation, and charting best practices
Ability to collaborate across disciplines and support unit flow
