Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients
Monitor and assess patients continuously, interpreting clinical data and responding promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate changes in condition
Support family members with clear, compassionate communication and education

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted RN license (Louisiana) — must be able to practice in LA
Prior ICU nursing experience (critical care skills expected)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Comfort working 12-hour clinical shifts and functioning in a fast-paced ICU
Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical judgment skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
IV medication administration and titration
Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
Strong prioritization, triage, and crisis-management abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and teams
