Shift Type: Rotating 8-hour shifts across all days of the week (including weekends and holidays): Days 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM; Evenings 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Nights 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (rotating; overtime rotation may be required).

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy
• Provide ADL assistance and hands-on supportive care to residents
• Manage gastrostomy tube care and urinary catheter care with attention to infection control
• Deliver nebulizer treatments, CPAP care, and other respiratory supports
• Perform wound care including wound VAC management and monitor healing
• Admit and discharge residents and coordinate handoffs with the care team
• Communicate pertinent clinical information to MDs and NPs in a timely manner
• Contribute to a patient-centered environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Hawaii required by the start date (travelers must apply upon acceptance if not yet licensed)
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (state license required)
• Experience working in Long Term Care settings and familiarity with LTC workflows
• Competence in medication administration, patient assessments, and ADL support
• Hands-on experience with gastrostomy tubes, urinary catheters, nebulizers, CPAP, and wound care including wound VAC
• Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime rotation
• Strong communication skills for timely notification to MD/NP and clear documentation

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) and active RN licensure required — Hawaii RN license must be active by assignment start date

• Thorough knowledge of patient assessments and nursing documentation
• Medication administration safety and IV/route familiarity as applicable
• Wound management and wound VAC care best practices
• Gastrostomy and urinary catheter care techniques
• Respiratory care skills including nebulizer and CPAP management
• ADL support and resident-focused care in long term care
• Clear clinical communication with providers and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management, prioritization, and adaptability in varied shift settings
