Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Assess, monitor and document patient condition, responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (ability to obtain Hawaii RN license required if not already licensed in HI)
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing (Med/Surg) preferred
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association (or equivalent)
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of med/surg nursing principles and adult patient care
• Skill in medication administration and IV management
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong patient education and discharge planning skills
• Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams
