Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients for clinical exams and procedures with care and professionalism
Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit accurately
Assist clinicians during exams and minor procedures in an ambulatory setting
Document clinical encounters and tasks in the electronic health record promptly
Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and ensure infection control practices
Coordinate patient flow and appointment logistics to keep the clinic running smoothly
Participate in orientation activities and help onboard new team members when needed

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant diploma/certificate preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Prior ambulatory or clinic experience is a plus but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn count too
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certificate or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable taking vitals and performing basic clinical tasks
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Strong patient communication and customer service skills
Basic infection control and safe clinical practice knowledge
Teamwork mindset and adaptability in a busy ambulatory clinic
