Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to CVICU and CCU patients, including Day 0 post-op cardiac cases
• Support and collaborate with the Cath Lab and Hybrid Cath Lab teams as needed
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, recognizing changes and escalating care appropriately
• Participate in the unit call rotation and cover weekend responsibilities reliably
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions back to the community

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (required)
• Minimum 3 years RN Critical Care experience (required)
• Day 0 CVICU experience (required)
• PALS (AHA) preferred
• Cath Lab and Hybrid Cath Lab experience a plus
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CVICU skills and comfort with Day 0 post-op cardiac patients
• Experience working in CCU settings
• Familiarity with Cath Lab workflows and Hybrid Cath Lab environment
• Competence in critical care nursing practices and monitoring
• Ability to function well in a small-hospital, community-focused environment
• Comfort participating in call rotation and covering weekends
