Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, observe patients for changes, and report concerns promptly
• Assist nursing staff with transfers, ambulation, and safe patient handling
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
• Support infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients
• Build rapport with patients and families to enhance comfort and trust

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
• Comfortable with 12-hour day shifts and able to work per diem assignments
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Background check and drug screen clearance as required by facility policies
• Previous CNA experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in patient hygiene, ADLs, and bedside care
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition
• Familiarity with basic charting and electronic health record systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling techniques
