Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patient status and vital signs accurately and promptly
• Support nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility assistance, and safe positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for every patient
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Contribute to meaningful patient care plans by reporting observations and concerns

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of California
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtainable
• Ability to pass required background checks and TB screening per facility policy
• Comfortable with patient lifting/transfer techniques and using mobility aids
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
• Previous CNA experience in a clinical setting preferred but new graduates welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State-approved CNA training program completion and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care procedures and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with infection control practices and standard precautions
• Skill in accurate charting and basic electronic health record (EHR) entries
• Ability to observe, report, and escalate changes in patient condition
• Time management and teamwork skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Professional bedside manner and effective communication with patients and families
