Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Perform vital signs, basic clinical observations, and timely documentation
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to advocate for patient needs
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain continuity of care through accurate charting

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in California (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or must obtain upon hire)
• Demonstrated experience in patient care or similar clinical setting
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-approved CNA program completion and certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety principles
• Proficiency with vital sign measurement and basic patient assessments
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Clear, professional communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical settings and prioritize tasks
