Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adults in the ICU
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using critical care standards
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment including ventilators and monitors
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity during stressful times
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and emergencies

Qualifications

• Current RN license in California or eligible for California licensure
• Prior ICU experience required; comfort with high-acuity adult patients
• Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred or required depending on unit
• Excellent assessment skills, strong clinical judgment, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and adapt to varying patient loads

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care principles and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation standards
• Skilled in IV/central line care, titration of vasoactive drips, and infusion therapy
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and clinical teams
