Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist with safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Support licensed nurses with treatments, documentation, and care plans
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful communication
• Help maintain accurate records of care and observations
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and prioritize patient comfort and safety

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
• Active state authorization to practice as a CNA (California credentials preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and working as part of a team
• Professional, dependable, and able to follow direction from nursing leadership
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and ADLs
• Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work calmly in fast-paced clinical settings
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety principles
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
