Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (acute care). Specific start/end times and assigned days are not specified in the posting and will be provided during scheduling.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to patients in an acute care setting, maintaining dignity and comfort
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
Support nursing staff with treatments, specimen collection, and safe patient transfers
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and facility protocols
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in Hawaii (required)
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly
Experience or comfort working in an acute care environment is preferred
Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
State CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with basic patient care tasks and ADLs
Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety best practices
Ability to work effectively on a fast-paced acute care team
Detail-oriented with good time management and teamwork skills
