Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist nursing team with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control procedures
• Document patient observations and completed care tasks clearly and promptly
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
• Respect patient dignity and privacy while delivering attentive, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state registry) or eligible for certification in Pennsylvania
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background and health screenings per facility policy
• Comfortable working in fast-paced clinical settings and lifting/assisting patients as needed
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing assistant skills and hands-on patient care
• Measuring and documenting vital signs accurately
• Basic infection prevention and control practices
• Safe patient transfer and mobility techniques
• Clear, timely documentation and communication with clinical staff
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
