Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Document care, observations, and interventions clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans
- Support residents and families with education, empathy, and professional guidance
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
- Comfortable working in a long-term/rehabilitation care setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Ability to perform duties consistent with safe patient care and facility policy
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
- Medication administration and safety practices
- Accurate clinical documentation and electronic charting
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Effective teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy
- Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
