Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform expert triage, assessment, and acute care for emergency patients with compassion and urgency
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and according to protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the ED team to coordinate patient care
- Monitor and reassess patients regularly, escalating changes in condition promptly
- Document patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
- Support patient and family education, providing clear instructions and empathetic guidance
Qualifications
- Current and active RN license (New Hampshire) or compact RN license as applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
- Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills; team-player attitude
- Orientation completion (provided) prior to independent shifts
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred where available
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing and acute patient care knowledge
- Effective triage and rapid assessment skills
- IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures
- Clear communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
