Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Days) and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Nights); team scheduling with variable weekends, weekend days rotation, and every-other-holiday. Orientation: three 12-hour orientation shifts. Note: occasional after-hours x-ray coverage 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging for adults and pediatrics, including stroke/CTA, trauma, abdominal and head studies
• Operate and maintain Philips 128-slice (primary) and Philips 16-slice (backup) scanners and Bracco injectors safely
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and monitor patient response during and after studies
• Position patients expertly to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
• Use PACS and CRTIS effectively for image archiving, retrieval and communication with the care team
• Provide after-hours x-ray coverage when scheduled (2330–0700) and support emergent imaging needs
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists (remote), and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate diagnostics
• Maintain radiation safety practices and appropriate use of radiation badge monitoring

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) required with CT CME requirements met OR ARRT (CT) certification
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Radiation Badge required and adherence to radiation safety policies
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Comfortable with pediatric and adult imaging, stroke/CTA and trauma protocols
• Familiarity with PACS and MEDITECH (or similar EMR) preferred
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, variable weekends and every-other-holiday

Education

• ARRT certification (R) or ARRT (CT) required
• BLS (AHA) required
• No BSN required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT scanning protocols and radiation safety best practices
• Skilled in IV contrast administration and injector operation (Bracco injectors)
• Proficient with PACS systems and CRTIS workflow
• Experience with Philips 128-slice and 16-slice CT equipment
• Excellent patient positioning and communication skills for adult and pediatric populations
• Ability to triage and prioritize high-acuity studies (stroke, trauma, STEMI/CTA)
