Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care on a 24-bed med-surg floor using the team care model to coordinate and deliver care
• Assess and monitor patients across specialties (oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, general medicine)
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement patient-centered care plans
• Respond promptly to call-backs with a 30-minute arrival expectation when placed on-call
• Maintain professional standards including adherence to facility policies (e.g., fingernail/artificial nail policy)

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (license to submit required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (acute/medical-surgical experience preferred)
• BLS certification required at time of submission
• Driver's license required at submittal (radius rule: candidate must be within 50 miles)
• Successful completion of orientation pass/fail exam with minimum 90% (open-book; resources provided)
• Ability to meet facility credentialing requirements and provide DOB, SSN, phone, email, middle initial, and permanent address at submission
• Must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI/Dignity) per radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

• Medical-Surgical nursing and acute care best practices
• Team care model workflow and patient assignment coordination
• Experience working with EPIC electronic charting
• Comfort managing diverse patient populations: oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and handle census averaging ~14 patients daily
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and documentation skills
