Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and stabilize patients presenting to the emergency department with urgency and compassion
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the ED team to coordinate patient care
• Perform accurate and timely documentation in the patient record to support continuity of care
• Monitor cardiac and respiratory status, interpret findings and escalate concerns promptly
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support during stressful situations
• Participate in rapid response and emergency procedures as needed to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Hampshire RN or compact multistate license preferred
• Minimum emergency nursing experience preferred; new grads with strong ED training are welcome to inquire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable after hire
• Current clinical skills in IV therapy, medication administration and cardiac monitoring
• Ability to work 12.5-hour ED shifts and respond effectively in high-acuity situations

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
• Experience with acute care protocols and emergency interventions
• Excellent clinical judgement, situational awareness and prioritization
• Clear communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely documentation
