Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Stepdown (SDU) unit
• Continuously monitor neurological and physiological status and act quickly on changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to orders
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning in a clear and supportive way
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity and safety

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) credential — you are a professional caregiver who loves making a difference
• Experience or interest in Neuro Stepdown/SDU care is a strong fit for this role
• Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts and delivering focused, detail-oriented care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS) encouraged where applicable
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the care team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Neurological assessment and monitoring skills
• Telemetry and cardiac/neurologic monitoring familiarity
• IV medication administration and infusion pump experience
• Solid critical thinking and prioritization in acute care settings
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
• Team-oriented mindset and patient-focused communication
