Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients
- Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize incoming patients to ensure safety
- Administer medications, start IVs, and perform required emergency interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans
- Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting colleagues and sharing expertise
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous emergency department experience preferred (per-diem roles welcome)
- Strong assessment skills, ability to prioritize under pressure, and excellent communication
- Ability to work independently on per-diem shifts and integrate quickly into established teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing assessment and triage principles
- IV therapy, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
- Familiarity with ED documentation and electronic medical records
- Ability to manage multiple patients and shifting priorities calmly
- Teamwork, clear communication, and patient-centered care approach
