Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, decontaminate, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices to ensure safe patient care
• Inspect instruments and assemble sterile trays and sets for OR procedures with meticulous attention to detail
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and follow established sterilization protocols
• Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of sterilization cycles and instrument sets
• Collaborate closely with OR teams to ensure rooms and equipment are ready on schedule
• Contribute to infection prevention efforts by adhering to best practices and facility policies
• Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety

Qualifications

• National certification required (CSPDT or CRCST)
• Hands-on experience in sterile processing, decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization
• Comfortable working night shifts and committed to weekend coverage
• Ability to follow strict infection prevention and safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate with surgical teams

Education

• National certification such as CSPDT or CRCST (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile Processing and CSPDT/CRCST knowledge
• Decontamination, Disinfection, and Sterilization practices
• Surgical Instrumentation handling and assembly
• Infection Prevention/Control principles
• Experience supporting Operating Room workflows
