Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled, compassionate nursing care to pediatric medical-surgical patients
• Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and respond promptly to changes
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Provide family-centered education and support to caregivers
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license ( Massachusetts license preferred/required )
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing and pediatric care (Med/Surg and Pediatrics skills noted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS and other pediatric certifications preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and provide family-centered care
• Willingness to complete facility orientation as indicated in the posting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Familiarity with Med/Surg nursing practices and medications
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Infection control, safety practices, and patient advocacy
