Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide focused post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia
Assess and continuously monitor vital signs, pain levels, and airway status
Administer medications and interventions per protocol and document responses
Collaborate closely with anesthesia and surgical teams for smooth handoffs and continuity of care
Educate and support patients' families with clear, compassionate communication
Participate in orientation and follow facility policies to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Massachusetts licensure preferred given facility location
Experience in PACU nursing with pediatric patient population (as indicated in the posting)
Availability to start on 2026-04-29 (start date provided)
Willingness to complete required orientation
Certifications such as BLS and pediatric-specific certifications (e.g., PALS) are a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Post-anesthesia assessment and recovery management
Pediatric-focused patient communication and family education
Monitoring and interpreting vital signs and post-op indicators
Medication administration and IV management in a PACU setting
Accurate, timely documentation and handoff communication
