Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care for patients held in the ED awaiting placement on med/surg/tele units
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence and accuracy
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and sister campus as census requires

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of strong cardiac telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
Comfortable with a pass/fail SIM lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Titration of cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Flexibility to float between campuses and units
