Registered Nurse - PCU/MedSurg/Oncology

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
- Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem
- Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication regimens
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians
- Float to same-level PCU and MedSurg units to support patient care needs
- Perform hourly rounding and focus on exceptional patient experience
- Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps to deliver safe, efficient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license and 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred
- Chemotherapy certification and hemodynamic monitoring experience a plus
- EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
- Willingness to float and work every other weekend
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Comfort with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to titrate drips and manage oncology patients from diagnosis through remission
- Team-oriented mindset with genuine compassion for diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to adapt to a mixed PCU/MedSurg/Oncology unit
