Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful clinical services including intake evaluations and direct treatment for adults and families
• Assess and document client needs using Person-Centered Planning principles for outpatient mental health and co-occurring substance abuse services
• Provide compassionate individual and group therapy sessions
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, school personnel, and family support networks to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain all contractual and licensure requirements while following a professional code of ethics
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and case consultations to grow professionally
• Complete clinical records and documentation accurately and on time
• Coordinate thoughtful discharge planning to support clients through case closure

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling with corresponding State of Michigan licensure
• Qualified Mental Health Professional credential (must obtain within 120 days of hire)
• At least one year of experience treating or working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness (fieldwork or internship time counts)
• Ability to work independently with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate, timely data tracking
• Cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Willingness to be flexible and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth and families

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
