Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients with cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety
Administer and titrate cardiac medications including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Manage arterial lines and respond promptly when called in from on-call status
Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient experiences and outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in arterial line management
Minimum one year of PCU or telemetry nursing experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac medication administration and drip titration skills
Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Excellent communication and adaptability
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
Cultural sensitivity when caring for diverse patient populations
