Location: Prescott Valley, Arizona

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse Med Surg Tele and PCU patient population
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes for post-surgical and medically complex patients
Precept and mentor nursing students, helping shape the next generation of healthcare heroes
Float to Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus as needed to support your colleagues and patients across the facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Willingness to care for both MST and PCU level patients and precept nursing students

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
Med Surg and Progressive Care nursing fundamentals
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to float across multiple units and adapt quickly
Comfort caring for patients with complex needs including post-surgical, infectious disease, and withdrawal management
