Location: Redding, California

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Flexible shifts including 8-hour (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), 10-hour, and 12-hour options with mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM; call coverage includes 1-2 weeknights per week and approximately one weekend per month from Friday end of shift through Monday 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during CVOR cases including CABG, valve replacements, pacemakers, and lead extractions
Support a wide variety of cases in ortho, general, vascular, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma
Scrub in and maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedures
Collaborate with the OR team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Document procedures accurately using Cerner Surginet EMR

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
Proficiency with Cerner Surginet EMR system
Ability to take call and respond to urgent surgical needs
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile technique

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in CVOR and main OR surgical procedures
Familiarity with Phillips Telemetry monitoring
Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Ability to adapt quickly to various surgical specialties
Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
