Location: Bakersfield, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekend call, and rotating holiday on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
Operate GE nuclear medicine equipment with precision and care
Collaborate with the lead technologist and in-house radiologist
Maintain accurate documentation using Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Float to Mercy Downtown location when needed to support patient care
Ensure high-quality imaging while averaging 5-10 studies daily

Qualifications

Current CA NMTL license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac imaging expertise
SPECT and bone scan proficiency
Bleed studies and gastric emptying experience
Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity systems
GE equipment operation
