Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Phillips telemetry equipment
Administer medications and manage central lines while maintaining strict sterile technique
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, and respiratory therapists
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemo certification preferred
Minimum one year of recent acute care telemetry or oncology experience
Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation skills
Competency in sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Ability to manage oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and manage side effects
Comfortable floating between MedSurg and Telemetry units
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
