Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients with cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions
Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for patients on cardiac monitoring
Manage arterial lines and respond promptly when called in from on-call status
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Support patients and families from diverse cultural backgrounds with clear communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
Experience with titratable drips and critical care medications
Comfort with high-flow oxygen and basic respiratory equipment
Excellent communication and adaptability in a team environment
Willingness to accept feedback and continuously learn
