Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while delivering timely interventions for cardiac, vascular, stroke, and post-procedure patients
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with dialysis needs, cancer diagnoses, sepsis, and respiratory challenges
Float to Med-Surg or ICU when needed, adapting quickly to changing patient acuity and unit demands
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication communication, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac telemetry interpretation
Safe titration of multiple IV drips
Comfort floating between PCU, Med-Surg, and ICU
Excellent communication and adaptability
Cultural sensitivity serving diverse patient populations
