Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call coverage from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages
Monitor and support pediatric patients with compassion and specialized attention
Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, smooth transitions from the operating room
Float to inpatient units as a helping hand or sitter when needed
Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes to support patient care
Deliver high-quality care to ICU patients on vents and pressors in the PACU setting

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
Experience recovering pediatric patients is essential
EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
Comfort recovering pediatric patients, including those with disabilities
Ability to manage vented patients on pressors and blood products
Strong assessment skills for reading cardiac strips
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to float and support where needed
