Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities in Garden City, Dodge City, and Ulysses
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications including heparin drips and manage titratable drips safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for adults and geriatric patients
• Support patients through cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, and post-surgical needs
• Mentor and guide nursing assistants while maintaining excellent nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while upholding the highest clinical standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for adult and geriatric populations
• Ability to float across multiple specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records and Alaris infusion pumps
• Comfortable reading telemetry strips and responding to cardiac changes
• Experience with neuro patients is a plus
• Flexible and ready to float within a 60-mile radius on short notice
• Team-oriented with excellent communication and adaptability
