Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions
- Monitor patients during 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle changes in neurological status
- Perform comprehensive neuro assessments including cranial nerve evaluations
- Manage patients requiring BiPAP support and coordinate with respiratory therapy
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including hospitalists and resource nurses
- Float to Med/Surg/Tele units and sister campuses as needed to support patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license with minimum 2 years of experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN preferred, Med Surg/Tele certification preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
- Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation
Education
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills to detect small changes in patients
- Proficiency in Med Surg and Telemetry monitoring
- Experience with epilepsy monitoring and neurological patient populations
- Ability to maintain sterile field during procedures
- Competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
- Comfortable floating between units and campuses as needed
