Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
• Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a bustling 32-bed unit
• Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing your versatility and adaptability
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR and participate in bedside handoff reporting to ensure seamless continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license and 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Neuro experience highly preferred along with strong EKG interpretation skills
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts provided) and demonstrate sterile technique during orientation SIMs lab
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Phoenix and have reliable personal transportation

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
• Comfortable managing trached patients, CVAs, TBIs, spinal surgeries, and encephalopathy cases
• Skilled at interpreting EKGs and responding quickly to changes in patient condition
• Team-oriented with the ability to support charge nurse duties when needed
• Flexible and ready to float across telemetry and ICU overflow units
