Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, evidence-based progressive care to acutely ill but moderately stable patients
• Perform advanced patient monitoring and timely assessments to detect changes in condition
• Implement appropriate nursing interventions and collaborate with the care team to stabilize patients
• Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret rhythm changes to prioritize care
• Deliver ACLS- and BLS-driven emergency responses when required
• Document clearly and communicate effectively across shifts to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required (per CAP requirements)
• PCU experience and basic EKG skills preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associate or Diploma in Nursing preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) practices and workflows
• Advanced patient monitoring and telemetry management
• Strong patient assessment and clinical intervention skills
• Proficiency in ACLS and BLS protocols
• Familiarity with NIHSS for stroke assessment
• Basic EKG interpretation
