Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures with accuracy and care
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment safely and professionally
- Collaborate with the radiology team and clinical staff to optimize patient experience
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and imaging records
- Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and communicate issues promptly
- Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold department standards
Qualifications
- Valid state radiologic technologist license (required)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or required depending on state rules
- Minimum clinical experience as a radiologic technologist (exact years to be discussed during hiring)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong patient communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or completed radiography program
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with diagnostic imaging equipment and imaging protocols
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
- Ability to position patients of all ages with compassion and accuracy
- Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
- Good record-keeping, attention to detail, and time management
