Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and medical-surgical patients
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-centered environment
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or multi-state compact RN eligibility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and pediatric care preferred
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles
- Comfort working with pediatric patients and family-centered care
- Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Skilled in medication administration, IV management, and patient assessment
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
