Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care in the emergency department
• Perform rapid triage and patient assessment to prioritize care and interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Monitor and reassess patients, escalating concerns and changes in condition promptly
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the medical record and support continuity of care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competencies

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligibility for licensure
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Experience in Emergency Department or acute care nursing preferred
• Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong assessment, prioritization and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Or equivalent nursing diploma with active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing principles
• Trauma assessment and stabilization
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate documentation
• Patient safety, infection control and emergency protocols
• Excellent communication, teamwork and time management skills
