Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages with professionalism and compassion
• Perform rapid triage and assessment to prioritize patient needs in a busy ED environment
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and standing protocols
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes quickly, and escalate concerns to the care team
• Coordinate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to ensure efficient patient flow and safe disposition
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Contribute to a culture of safety by following protocols, participating in huddles, and supporting quality improvement

Qualifications

• Current RN license (NH licensure or Compact RN license preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing assessment
• Trauma and acute care interventions
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and rapid response procedures
• Proficient documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records
• Teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to work under pressure
