Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living to preserve dignity and comfort
Monitor and report changes in patient condition, vital signs, and behaviors to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote patient safety
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
Support infection prevention practices and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients

Qualifications

Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) credential; Pennsylvania certification preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills, compassion, and a patient-first attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting patients as needed

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Proven skills in basic patient care and hygiene assistance
Familiarity with vital signs, patient positioning, and mobility support
Basic documentation and charting skills
Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
