Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with attention to safety and comfort
- Administer medications and document treatments accurately and promptly
- Monitor patients’ conditions and communicate changes to the care team
- Assist with care planning and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure continuity
- Educate residents and families about care plans and daily routines
- Maintain clean, organized patient records and adhere to facility policies
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Pennsylvania (or compact state eligibility where applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but enthusiastic new grads encouraged
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent vocational training required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assessments, medication administration, and wound care
- Ability to document clearly in electronic or paper charting systems
- Skill in time management and prioritizing patient needs during short shifts
- Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicating effectively
