Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition promptly to the nursing team
- Assist with meals and feeding, ensuring dignity and comfort during care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care delivered and observations
- Practice infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Help create a warm, home-like environment and support resident engagement
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
- Comfortable with hands-on resident care and safe patient handling
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to work assigned shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL assistance
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Charting and accurate documentation practices
- Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Observation skills for recognizing changes in resident condition
