Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and precision
• Perform continuous patient assessment and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and titrate drips per orders while monitoring for effects and safety
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists — to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and communicate clear handoffs during shift changes
• Support family members with updates and education in a caring, professional manner
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient safety and clinical workflows

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Louisiana licensure or compact RN where applicable preferred)
• Clinical experience in an adult ICU setting (ICU Nursing experience required/preferred)
• Comfort and ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundations of critical care nursing and ICU patient assessment
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic assessment
• Competence with IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments
• Clear documentation and effective handoff communication
